Fertile Garden Grave Marker Sand Play Plum Harvest Sand Play (1982)
In this series Nomi Kaplan explores and revisits the delight in “playing in the sand” a state of playfulness inherent in her artistic work. In the case of Sandplay, Kaplan shapes sand into recognizable forms and images, animating them with additional materials, then captures them on film.
